Springfield Education Foundation’s Innovative Educator Grants are designed to encourage, facilitate, recognize and reward innovative and creative teaching in support of Springfield Public Schools to encourage higher levels of learning. In 2016-17, applicants were asked to address the goals of the Springfield Education Foundation by making a meaningful impact on student performance focusing on early literacy, attendance, participation, career and college connections and excellent teaching working toward increasing graduation rates.

Proposed Activity: Training with district staff: Mental Health, Suicide Warning Signs, and Linking Youth with Community Resources: One-hour training delivered to all elementary, middle, and high school staff in the district.
