Applications for the 2023-24 school year are now open!  SPS educators are invited to apply for all three grants below.


Grants Available


The Springfield Education Foundation awards grants annually to provide enriching learning opportunities for students attending Springfield Public Schools. Please read the instructions for each individual grant for more information on each opportunity. Grant applications due in the Spring are intended for implementation in the following academic year.

If you have received an SEF Grant, and have any questions about how to access your grant funds, please speak with the secretary at your school. If you have any further questions, please email info@SpringfieldEducationFoundation.org.


Individuals or Springfield Public Schools staff teams involved in the instruction of students or related support services are eligible to apply as individuals or collaborative staff teams. Primary applicant must be involved in the instruction of students or related support services. Projects benefiting any and all age groups from kindergarten to twelfth grade are eligible for consideration.


March 1 – Grant applications available
April 25 – Grant applications due by 11:59 pm
June – Recipients notified and grant funds available
June 30 – Grant evaluations due for grants awarded in the previous spring
