Together With United Way of Lane County, the Springfield Education Foundation is making kindergarten readiness a possibility for more of our students.
Imagine every kindergartener starting school with the best preparation for success in school:
- an excitement for learning
- early literacy and math skills
- social skills
- self-regulation
- parent support
In a groundbreaking partnership with United Way of Lane County, the Springfield Education Foundation has stepped up to help Springfield Public Schools expand prekindergarten readiness in 2016 through Kids in Transition to School (KITS). An evidence-based program designed by the Oregon Social Learning Center, KITS helps level the playing field for kindergarteners, so that they have the best shot at success all the way through high school.
KITS is funded by the Social Innovation Fund.
