OnPoint Community Credit Union Pledges Big for SEF
This football season, there’s a new reason for Springfield Education Foundation supporters to cheer when the Oregon Ducks find the end zone. OnPoint Community Credit Union has selected Springfield Education Foundation as the local recipient of its Touchdown for Teachers program!
Here’s how it works: every time the Ducks score a touchdown at Autzen Stadium this season, OnPoint will donate $1,000 to Springfield Education Foundation, up to $40,000! That means every home touchdown can turn into more opportunities for students and educators right here in Springfield.

From the Field to the Classroom
Touchdown for Teachers is part of OnPoint’s longstanding commitment to education and community investment. OnPoint was founded in 1932 by 16 schoolteachers, and supporting educators and students remains an important part of the credit union’s work today.
The Touchdown for Teachers program brings a little football fun into that mission. What happens on the field at Autzen can have a very real impact in Springfield classrooms. And we have plenty of ideas for where those dollars can go.
Through our programs, Springfield Education Foundation supports educators with opportunities that school budgets simply cannot always provide. Our grants help teachers bring innovative projects, hands-on learning experiences, creative resources, outdoor education, career connections and more to their students.
We also support students and families through programs like our Family Resource Centers, Basic Needs Fund, Oregon Battle of the Books and other initiatives designed to help students feel supported, engaged and ready to learn.
So when the Ducks score, Springfield students score, too!
Let’s Get Loud for Every Touchdown
The Ducks have plenty of football ahead of them, which means plenty of opportunities to watch the total climb.
We’ll be keeping track throughout the season and sharing updates as those touchdowns add up. At the end of the season, OnPoint’s support could mean as much as $40,000 for Springfield students and educators.
That’s a lot of touchdowns, and a lot of potential impact.
We’re incredibly grateful to OnPoint Community Credit Union for putting a creative spin on supporting education and for choosing Springfield Education Foundation as this season’s Touchdown for Teachers recipient.
So, whether you’re in the stands at Autzen, watching from home, listening on the radio, or simply checking the score on your phone, there’s one more reason to cheer:
Go Ducks! Score touchdowns, support teachers, and empower Springfield students.
And please excuse us if we become very interested in Oregon’s red-zone efficiency this season!
