Jazz, Bubbles, & Books 2026
Our annual Jazz, Bubbles, & Books event was one for the books, literally! With a packed room, incredible music, and high energy all evening long, our community came together at Tavern on Main for a night that was as meaningful as it was fun.
Guests were treated to an unforgettable jazz experience led by internationally acclaimed vocalist and Springfield High School alum Gina Saputo, joined by the immensely talented Macain Treat and a group of outstanding musicians on instruments and drums. From classic Ella Fitzgerald tunes to Frank Sinatra favorites, the music set the perfect tone for a joyful and celebratory evening.
Thanks to the generosity of our guests and supporters, the event raised more than $5,800 for BookFest, our literacy partnership with United Way of Lane County. These funds will provide approximately 1,160 brand new books for students at Guy Lee Elementary School, with the potential to support additional Springfield schools as well. Through BookFest, students in kindergarten through second grade are able to choose books of their own to take home, helping build personal libraries and encouraging a love of reading that lasts well beyond the school year.
This event would not have been possible without the many people who contributed their time, talent, and support. We are deeply grateful to the incredible musicians who donated their artistry, to the Tavern on Main staff for hosting such a fantastic party, and to Smile Photo Booth for capturing so many joyful memories throughout the night. A huge thank you goes to our volunteers who helped transform the space, as well as to our anonymous event sponsor whose generosity helped make the evening such a success.
Most importantly, thank you to everyone who attended. Your support directly impacts local students and helps ensure that more children in Springfield have access to books at home, setting them up for greater success in school and beyond.
We are proud of what our community accomplished together and can’t wait to build on this momentum as we continue supporting literacy in Springfield Public Schools!
