SPS Educators invited to apply for three SEF Grants

Springfield Education Foundation is excited to announce the opening of it’s Spring Grant Cycle! Individuals or collaborative Springfield Public Schools staff teams involved in the instruction of students or related support services are eligible to apply for all three SEF Grants: the Innovative Educator Grant, Social Emotional Learning Fund Grant, and the Frank Sherman Grant for health, physical, and outdoor education. Grant applications open through our online portal beginning March 1 and are due by 11:59 pm on April 25. These grants are intended for use during the 2023-24 academic school year.

 

In 2022, SEF awarded over $66,000 in grant funds to provide enriching learning opportunities for students attending Springfield Public Schools. Read more about 2022-23 SEF Grants here.

Click below to learn more about each grant! Make sure to submit your application before April 25 at 11:59 pm in order to be considered for up to $4,000 grants from SEF.

Innovative Educator Grants:
These grants are designed to encourage, facilitate and recognize innovative teaching programs to empower student success. $250-$4,000 grants are available. 

Frank Sherman Grant:
The focus of this grant is children’s positive social development, physical safety, and emotional well-being in school settings. Grants of up to $1,000 will be awarded.

SELF Grant:
The purpose of this fund is to promote and support health, physical fitness, and outdoor education activities and curriculum offered at SPS. Grants up to $1,000 will be awarded.
