Thanks to the help of generous donors and sponsors,
Springfield Education Foundation raised over $167,000
to support Springfield Public Schools' brilliant
students and educators!
In this opening video, Charlie Jett, Two Rivers – Dos Rios Elementary Principal, is seen running through Springfield, past our favorite monuments and the many fantastic public schools in our city. He and Elizabeth Page Elementary Principal, Lacey Macdonald, along with the students and staff of SPS, sing “This is the Greatest Show!” How true those lyrics came to be! The twelfth annual Night of 11,000 Stars on October 21, 2021 was a huge success, thanks to our wonderful community.
In sponsorships alone, we raised over $97,000 from our dedicated longtime sponsors such as International Paper, Timber Products, and new sponsors including Murphy Plywood. Our generous sponsors care about the children in our community and contribute to their success by supporting SEF. Please see below for a complete list of sponsors.
That means that charitable donors like you donated over $70,000 toward our cause through paddle raises, event tickets, mission-based items, and auction items from many fabulous businesses in Springfield and Eugene.
These auction items and packages were big hits this year! We had everything from a Catered Dinner by Carte Blanche to an Urban Wine Tasting package to baskets of goodies from local businesses. Each donated item raised money to get us closer to our initial goal- $150,000- which was far surpassed!
We are blown away by the generosity continually shown by our community. The funds raised from this event will go towards programs like the Innovative Educator Grant program, which will provide educators with funds for tools and teaching programs to help their students stay engaged in learning and reach success through academic excellence.
Did you miss it? There is still time to donate through our website!
