Marc Mullins and Kelli Warner, former KMTR morning show news anchors, will reunite to emcee the 7th annual Springfield Education Foundation’s  annual gala fundraiser “Night of 11,000 Stars”.  This event celebrates and supports the nearly 11,000 students attending Springfield schools. It begins at 5:00 pm on Thursday, Oct. 20, at the Willamalane Center, 250 S. 32nd St. in Springfield.

“We are thrilled to have Marc and Kelli lead our event this year. Marc is making the trip all the way from Indiana to help us out,” said Ronnel Curry, executive director of the Springfield Education Foundation. “Their combined energy will contribute to the night’s success for students in Springfield. Kelli, a parent of Springfield students, also serves on the Springfield Education Foundation board of directors.”

The evening’s proceeds help fund and support the foundation’s mission to provide students with the resources, tools, programs and materials they need to reach their highest academic potential. This event kicks off SEF’s annual fund campaign.

This year’s event sponsors include Fred Meyer Fund, International Paper, Kendall Cares, SELCO Community Credit Union, Springfield Utility Board, Burrito Amigos and Cafe Yumm! Special sponsors include Willamalane Park and Recreation District, Turell Group, Hop Valley and B2 wine.

The $80 per person cost includes light appetizers, dinner buffet and complimentary beer and wine. For information call Ronnel Curry at 541-726-3243 or email her at ronnel@springfieldeducationfoundation.org.
