Golf and Barbecue Benefit Students; August 30, 2010

Plan on joining in the fun this summer as supporters of Springfield Public Schools gather for some golf and good food. This year’s Mary Pilgreen Golf Tournament Scholarship Fundraiser and Social has teamed up with the Springfield Education Foundation for their annual golf outing. Monday, August 30. A few more places for teams are still available. McKenzie River Golf Club. Registration begins at 2 pm. Happy Hour at 4:30 and dinner at 5 pm. Awards at 6:15. Join us for dinner only for $30.

A catered barbecue dinner is planned. You can golf and enjoy dinner, or just come to dinner. Everyone will enjoy a nice meal, conversation and the beauty of McKenzie River Golf Course while supporting Springfield students.

The 1st Annual SEF Celebration Bus Tour made a big debut by visiting 10 schools to award this year’s Innovative Educator Grants.

SEF 1st Annual Kickoff

On Nov. 5, 2009, the Springfield Education Foundation held its 1st Annual Campaign Kickoff at the Riverbend Annex in Springfield. The event was a great start in our ramp up to support Springfield Schools. The program featured highlights of our many programs, performances by some very talented Springfield students and discussions wit our community partners. Thanks to all who helped make this a great event and to all who attended. Stay tuned for more great events and connections with our community.

Holiday Craft Faire

The Thurston High School Choirs Annual Craft Faire will be held:

Friday, Nov. 27, 10am-6pm
Saturday, Nov. 28 10am-5pm

The Faire features quality, handmade crafts from a variety of vendors, food concession booths, and FUN!

Springfield Education Foundation will have calendars ($10.00), prints ($20.00) and notecards ($20.00) featuring artwork from Springfield Student s. We will also hold a raffle for a basket of items on Saturday, 11/28. Need not be present to win. $1.00 a ticket.
