Night of 11,000 Stars! October 14, 2010

Join the Springfield Education Foundation for Night of 11,000 Stars! to celebrate and support the nearly 11,000 students attending Springfield Public Schools.  Parents, educators, community leaders, and caring friends  — all advocates of public education will gather on Thursday, October 14, 2010 raise funds to support literacy programs, arts, technology and creative teachers.

6:00 pm Social Hour and Opening Entertainment with Mount Vernon Elementary School Singers

7:00 pm Star-Filled Program Featuring

Emcee: Kelli Warner, KMTR NewsSource 16.

Stellar Remarks by: Susan Casitillo State Superintendent of Schools, Mike Bullis Dean UO College of Education and Nancy Golden Superintendent Springfield Public Schools.

Special Appearance by Tony Case, Thurston High School Class of ’99. Space Physicist.

Entertainment: Springfield High School Mariachi Band

PeaceHealth RiverBend Annex 123 International Way, Springfield, Oregon

Directions: Traveling on Gateway Street heading North form Harlow Road, cross Beltine, then turn right at the light on International Way. Go through the roundabout and continue east on International Way. Turn right into the PeaceHealth RiverBend Annex.

$50 per person or $400 for table of eight.

Generous hous d’oeuvres and dessert. Includes complimentary beer and wine.
